Conveyancing Portal - Subject matter experts

The Law Society is progressing the development of an online conveyancing portal, which is intended to streamline the residential conveyancing process by providing the ability to conduct an end-to-end conveyancing transaction securely online.

The Law Society is seeking to identify a group of subject matter experts to advise on the incorporation of practitioner best practice processes into the development of the conveyancing portal from early design phases, through testing to the launch of the product, and also post-launch. It will be an opportunity to be right at the "heart" of this new service for conveyancers. The importance of practitioner input in the design and build phase cannot be over-estimated. Our intention is that this portal should be a resource for all professionals involved in residential property matters. At a later stage when addressing service for clients we will also seek to involve consumers and other stakeholders. 

If you are interested, we would like to hear from you. Please send your Expression of Interest (marked EXPRESSION OF INTEREST in the email subject)  to Conveyancing.Portal@lawsociety.org.uk providing the following:

•    Areas of conveyancing experience and expertise
•    Details of your firm or your employer
•    Number of regulated solicitors, licensed conveyancers, or regulated persons dedicated to conveyancing in your firm
•    Whether you are CQS accredited
•    What is your "reach" into the conveyancing community to ensure you are able to bring a range of feedback to the Reference Group
•    Your rationale for wishing to be part of this Reference Group
