Senior Solicitor (Housing & Neighbourhood Team) Job
Ref: NB50899200/11
Salary: Grade 9 £35,784 to £39,351
(bar at £38,442) per annum
Location: Town Hall, Albert Square, Manchester, M60 2LA
Hours: 35 per week

The successful candidate will have the ability to manage a case load with minimum supervision. Conduct proceedings and act as an advocate in the County Court and Magistrates’ Court dealing with most aspects of social housing law, including Anti-social Behaviour injunction applications, claims for possession, housing disrepair, estate management issues and applications for Anti-social Behaviour Orders. Act a legal adviser to Council departments and other providers of social housing, providing high level, high quality legal advice on housing law issues.
You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive Advocate, able and committed to working in a flexible manner including outside normal office hours, when the role necessitates the same. You will be a key member of the group, confident and able to work independently and act upon your own initiative.
