A unique role has being created for a solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a corporate or law firm environment to join our growing team.  Based in Belgravia Werner Capital is a family run business that offers a turn-key solution for all stages of real estate development.

Main Duties include:

  • Reviewing and drafting a wide variety of construction documents/agreements (mainly residential, but also commercial and for mixed use), including but not limited to JCT Agreements, Schedule of Amendments to JCT Agreements, Design & Build contracts, bespoke construction agreements, management construction agreements, confidentiality agreements, preliminaries, contract particulars, employers requirements, contractors proposals, LOIs, collateral warranties, subcontractor agreements, consultants agreements,  bespoke construction agreements, etc)
  • Negotiating with main contractors, subcontractors and consultants regarding the construction documents and any construction legal issue.
  • Corresponding and negotiating with solicitors of main contract, subcontractors and consultants.
  • Supervising the implementation of agreements and administer the construction contracts.
  • Attending meetings and negotiations with construction team and construction contractors and consultants.
  • Checking all documentation prior to signing and implementing
  • Manage CIS procedures
  • Liaise with external solicitors on tax issues
  • Keeping up to date with changes and developments in the construction law
  • Manage construction insurances and liaise with insurance broker
  • Advice on developments and planning
  • Administrative duties:  keeping of legal documents/record and others

General:

  • Liaising with external solicitors, tax advisors and offshore service providers.
  • Review property purchase contracts; draft and review lease/tenancy agreement, licences to occupy etc
  • Reviewing and drafting of standard corporate and commercial documents/agreements, including but not limited to: LOI, standard terms and agreements, memorandum of understanding, exclusivity agreements, offer letters, service agreements, loan agreements, donation agreements, minutes of Board Meetings, Minutes of Shareholders Meeting etc
