We are seeking applicants to provide in-house legal and commercial contracts advice to academic and research staff within the University of Nottingham.  The work is to support the delivery of an extensive research portfolio at a worldwide top 1% University (circa £180million of research delivered in 2013/2014).

We are seeking applicants with either a professional legal qualification and/or law degree with relevant knowledge and experience to undertake this role.  The candidate must have experience of working in a commercial contracts and/or higher education environment.  Excellent negotiation and drafting skills with strong communication and attention to detail are essential.  The role requires a sound commercial awareness and will involve working with public, private and third sector organisations.  Detailed knowledge of commercial, intellectual property and contract law is required.  Experience of managing a varied caseload and prioritisation skills to ensure efficient and effective project delivery are also needed.
