The Corporate Legal Service is set to take a leading role in shaping the delivery of Council objectives in the future, and tackling the challenges ahead. Your focus will be driving innovation and improvement in the provision of legal services in an increasingly commercial environment. 

You will lead the Corporate Legal team reporting directly to the Head of Legal and Democratic Services and you will work closely with the Council’s senior officers to deliver their business requirements. 

You will have good knowledge of local government law but more importantly a commercial approach to managing a team of Lawyers.  You will need to demonstrate professionalism at every turn, but also imagination and the strength to see the challenge through.
