An opportunity has arisen to join the Legal Services Directorate of the National Assembly for Wales. We are looking to recruit a lawyer with an understanding of public and administrative law and an interest in the Welsh devolution settlement.
The post-holder will advise the Presiding Officer and staff of the National Assembly for Wales as well as individual Assembly Members and Assembly Committees on a wide range of legal issues.
This is an exciting time in the development of the National Assembly as Wales’s parliamentary body and offers the opportunity to work on high-profile politically-sensitive issues with senior Welsh politicians. The post-holder will also develop working relationships with the UK Parliament, the Welsh Government and the other devolved legislatures in the UK.
The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh, although desirable, is not essential for this position.
