The Portfolio of Legal Affairs, Solicitor General’s Office is currently inviting applications for the post of:
CROWN COUNSEL I
(CIVIL) SALARY: *CI$77,712.00 - $ 104,532.00 PER ANNUM

The post holder will be responsible for the conduct of civil litigation and the carrying out a wide range of civil advisory work for Government Departments or statutory authorities on behalf of the Chambers of the Attorney General. The duties comprise the full range of civil legal work.  

The post holder will possess good legal research skills, the ability to assimilate instructions quickly, to conduct independent research and to give clear and accurate advice.

Qualifications & Experience:  Applicants should be Attorneys-at-Law, Barristers, or Solicitors qualified to practice in an English-speaking Commonwealth jurisdiction, with a minimum of 7 years post qualifications experience and/or training, particularly in one or more of the following areas of law: planning, commercial, corporate, pensions, trusts, investment and securities law. A working knowledge of the United Kingdom Financial Services Act, 1986; United States Investment Advisors Act of 1940 and/or the Canadian Securities Commissions Law will be an asset.
