Ranked 'top-tier' by Chambers and Legal 500, with a national and international profile founded on a sophisticated and wide-ranging client base, our family team have a "formidable reputation for handling complex finance matters for clients based both nationally and internationally, as well as offering a collaborative approach to dispute resolution" (Chambers).
Our leading family practice has two partners, two other lawyers and a trainee solicitor, and is part of our larger private client team of around 35 lawyers. All our family lawyers are members of Resolution and we aim to help our clients to resolve disputes by agreement. We also deal with complex, often High Court, litigation in London and regional courts, when that is necessary.
Work
We undertake a challenging range of family law work. This is a superb opportunity to act for HNW private clients, particularly those with complex assets with a business and/or international aspect. We advise on pre & post nuptial agreements, the legal and financial implications of marriage, separation and divorce, civil partnership dissolution and children law.
Our lawyers see clients in our Bristol office, where the team is based, and our London office. A significant proportion of our clients are London or internationally based, so all of the team also have the opportunity to spend time in the London office.
Requirements
We look for strong academics and evidence of appropriate experience, gained at a firm with a first-class reputation for family work. Candidates should be team players and be able to manage a complex and varied workload effectively, with the ability to empathise with a wide range of clients.
This role will appeal to a lawyer wanting to work in a close team for a varied client base, primarily focussing on the financial aspects of relationship breakdown.
