Assistant Solicitor – Consumer Law and Product Safety, IGC Department, Ref: AS/IGC/GTM
                 
Leigh Day is urgently seeking an Assistant Solicitor, to assist a Partner in our Consumer Law and Product Safety team. This is an exciting and challenging new role and the successful applicant will hold a responsible position assisting a Partner with his caseload. The work will mainly focus on clinical trials, defective products and consumer law claims against large companies.  The role will also involve exploring emerging areas of legal redress under consumer law.

Within the Consumer Law and Product Safety Liability team we challenge manufacturers of everyday items such as food, cosmetics, and electrical goods. Over 20 years we’ve become the biggest and best specialist Product Liability team in UK, winning landmark cases for individuals and groups. We act exclusively for claimants who've been injured or treated unlawfully by others. . 

This position will ideally suit candidates who possess 0 to 3 years PQE’ with relevant work experience, although all applications will be considered. Previous experience in high value personal injury and/or clinical negligence is essential. Demonstrable experience in Consumer Law, Product Safety Liability and / or group litigation procedures is highly desirable although not essential. Though candidates from both claimant and respondent backgrounds will be considered, in order to be successful s/he must be able to demonstrate a genuine interest to work with a leading claimant law firm.
