The University of the West of England is the largest provider of higher education in the south west of England and is based on the edge of the beautiful city of Bristol. The position is within the Commercial Services Department.
The main responsibilities will include managing the Contracts Department, including the contract processes, and to manage the Contract Team, based within Commercial Services, in liaison with the University’s Assistant Director of Commercial Services. Also to manage the processes for assessing risk, for contract negotiations and administration and for post-contract revisions, providing a University wide service to support risk management and performance in relation to contracts.
You will have:
- Experience as a Contracts Manager or solicitor working either in practice with a mixed portfolio or in a pubic authority or equivalent experience
- Experience of some of the following legal areas: contracts and commercial, property, statutory compliance
- Experience of drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents
- Experience of running and managing a team of staff members
- A degree
