Legal Adviser (Property/ Commercial) – Ref VCO14/10
Full Time
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £38,511 - £47,328 per annum
Working within a fast-paced and valued in-house Legal Services team the role will provide legal advice and support to the University, its Board of Governors and committees, the University Executive and other senior management and will work closely with the Head of Legal to deliver a responsive and forward looking service.
You will be required to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, draft legal agreements, review documentation and negotiate and review commercial and other contracts. You will also be required to undertake research into a variety of legal and compliance issues and to report on and implement the outcomes.
You must be adaptable as you will be required to advise on a broad range of legal areas including commercial and construction contracts, procurement law and property. You must also be aware of current issues affecting Higher Education and be a committed team player with excellent interpersonal skills who takes a methodical approach to planning and organisation.
