Would you like to be part of an award winning team?
Nottinghamshire County Council’s Legal Services Team is looking for a talented, energetic and forward thinking solicitor/barrister to join its Corporate & Environmental Law section. The work will be challenging but varied and rewarding. You must be able to work under pressure, be highly organised with excellent communication skills, be able to use new IT working practices and also work under minimal supervision.
You must have sound knowledge and understanding of planning and highways law within a local government context, with experience of drafting, negotiating and advising on complicated matters. Ideally this will include county-related planning matters such as education and highways section 106 obligations, minerals and waste developments, and experience of advising committees.
Legal Services is the MJ Awards legal team of the year 2015 for its innovative work in implementing a digital legal practice. You will be working in refurbished offices in West Bridgford and will have the opportunity to benefit from smart working arrangements. Nottinghamshire is one of the largest local authorities in the UK, providing services to nearly 800,000 people.
