Shape legal solutions at CQC.

About the role

You’ll raise your profile throughout the organisation as you provide legal advice, guidance and support to those who inspect services and those who develop the policies underpinning inspections. We’re talking complex casework and policy development work that impacts on the health and well-being of the nation. This role is also an excellent opportunity to develop your management skills as you supervise junior colleagues and ensure the service is delivered in line with established service measures. Building strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders will be a vital aspect of the role.

About you

You’ll come to us with considerable post-qualification experience of managing caseloads and enforcement activity as a solicitor or barrister (entitled to hold a practising certificate). Alternatively, you will be a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FILEX) with considerable experience. Strong advocacy skills or a willingness to develop your skills in this area will be essential. Able to present complex information in an easily understood and accessible format, you will be familiar with the need to analyse risks in a fast-paced environment, reassessing priorities as needed.

About CQC

Here at the CQC, we make sure health and social care services provide people with effective, compassionate and high quality care and encourage services to make improvements. We monitor, inspect and regulate services to ensure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety and we publish what we find to help people choose care. Join our committed team to help us deliver our strategic objectives and our vision for the future of quality regulation.

Closing date: 21st October 2015.
