Duncan Lewis, a Legal 500 & Chambers UK 2016 recognised firm of solicitors, employing over 700 staff & Consultants across the UK is looking to expand its Housing department by recruiting 2 assistant solicitors at its Croydon office.


The successful candidates will be joining the Director of Housing, Dianne Cowie, who has been mentioned as a leading lawyer in the Legal 500 2016.  The department has recently experienced an increase in the volume of new client work.  

This role will involve dealing with a broad range of Property, Land Lord and Tenant disputes. This will include possession proceedings, unlawful evictions and disrepair. The successful candidate will have experience in dealing with public funded matters and private clients. Experience in dealing with cases funded by conditional fee arrangement will be helpful.

Key Skills Required:


•    To have relevant experience as a Housing Law Solicitor and show passion for Hosing Law work. 
•    The ability to manage and supervise Trainees and Paralegals will be an advantage. 
•    To demonstrate continuous professional development throughout your career.
•    To demonstrate experience in a broad range of public funded Housing Law work. 
•    Higher rights of advocacy qualification will be an advantage although not a necessity.
•    Be professional, have a pro-active approach and excellent client care skills. It will be important that you also have the ability to successfully market the Company and generate new business.
