PI Solicitor

Our client, a well established Yorkshire firm, require an additional Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their Personal Injury Child Abuse compensation team based in their Dewsbury office.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a reputable team, who are committed to achieving justice for people who have suffered the trauma of childhood abuse, as well as striving to develop the law in the interests of vulnerable victims. They have successfully represented a number of large and small group actions as well as handling complex individual cases throughout the country, bringing claims against local authorities and residential institutions, public sector departments, church organisations, foster carers and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.

You will need:

• To be a Solicitor/Legal Executive with experience of handling own caseload of general litigation or PI matters.
• Experience of handling multi-track files.
• A keen eye for detail.
• Some experience of psychological injury and/or handling group actions would be advantageous.
• The team's clients are often very vulnerable, and candidates will need to demonstrate outstanding people skills, particularly in dealing with clients, coupled with the ability to handle highly confidential information sensitively and with compassion.
