Worcestershire County Council's highly rated in-house Legal Service plays a vital role in ensuring the Council achieves its goals lawfully and properly, supporting our Directorates, the corporate centre and some of our externalised services.

As a Trainee Solicitor in this multi-disciplined organisation, we can offer you a vast range of experience to develop your legal practice, from advising social workers on child protection matters or discussing a highways obstruction case with our Rights of Way officers, to drafting contracts and handling contractual disputes. This will be coupled with opportunities to research the law, hold your own cases, appear as an advocate in court and gain exposure to the workings of the democratic process.

We are proud of the important role we play in developing the next generation of local government solicitors by offering this exciting and rewarding Graduate opportunity. In addition to the programme benefits, we can train and support you to become a Solicitor of the Supreme Court and provide instruction, professional guidance and support from experienced solicitors in each "seat" you undertake
