PLANNING SOLICITOR
SALARY: £32,778-£35,662
37 hours per week

We are looking to recruit a Planning Solicitor to join our small and busy legal team.

This is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking Council. Like all Councils we face financial challenges but sound management has placed us in a strong position and our ʻopen for businessʼ approach means that a number of exciting developments are currently taking place.

Your primary role will be to provide advice on all planning matters and draft associated planning documents and agreements. You will work closely with our Planning Team and Planning Committee, giving advice and guidance as and when required. The successful candidate must have a clear understanding of planning law and have significant experience of working as a Planning Solicitor; a practising certificate would be desirable.

You will have excellent communication skills and an ability to build and maintain good working relationships. You will have the ability to prioritise your workload and meet challenging deadlines.
