The firm prides itself on its ability to offer each client specific and dedicated resources; ensuring that all possible avenues are explored and carefully considered.  We want to grow strong relationships with our clients based on a strong foundation of trust and experience.

With our offices in the City of London, the firm offers a dynamic and intuitive approach to defending clients.

The firm is recruiting for hungry and ambitious young lawyers who will thrive in a new start up environment.  If you want to be given responsibility and an exceptional exposure to top level criminal work then send a covering letter and CV to mc@carsonkaye.co.uk

 Job Description

Paralegal / Trainee Solicitor

Title: Paralegal with a view to a training contract

Hours: 9.30am to 5.30pm and as required

Working week: Monday to Friday and as required

Reports to: Head of Department (Equity Partner)

Department: Criminal

Carson Kaye are pleased to offer a training contract to start in September 2016.  This vacancy will commence as a Paralegal position so the successful applicant can obtain police station accreditation prior to the start of their training contract.

The Firm

Carson Kaye is a young and vibrant firm specialising in Criminal Law.  The firm was set up following the 2013/14 tender process for Duty and Own Client contracts.  The firm obtained an own client contract and exists because of its dedication to our client base.  It is a small but growing business with two partners, four fee-earners and an office manager.

The Candidate

The firm requires someone who wants to practice in Criminal law.

The successful candidate will be expected to assist the partners in their caseload, handle their own Magistrates and Confiscation files and attend the firm’s police station interviews.

The candidate will be exposed to Crown Court trials and expected to liaise with counsel.

This role is demanding and the successful candidate will be expected to be flexible and to work (some) evenings and weekends.

In return the salary will be above the minimum requirement and there will be an opportunity to earn overtime.

The candidate will receive an exceptional exposure to the very top level Criminal work and a training that will form the foundation for a successful career.

Every effort has been made to ensure that this is a full description of the tasks and responsibilities of this role. However, it is not an exhaustive list. The job description may be changed or developed at any time to reflect changes as required. However, changes will not be made without full consultation with the post holder.
