The role:
As risk and compliance adviser for the Law Society you will enjoy a commercial role within our Business Development team. Working with the profession you will support members by ensuring they have up to date solutions around issues such as anti-money laundering, data protection and diversity and inclusion to name but a few. You will become a well known and recognised face with Law Society members and should be comfortable standing up in front of groups to deliver forums or talks. You will attend various networking events, therefore existing links within the sector are advantageous. This is an exciting role where you will drive team KPI's and deliver to target.

Essential
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:
• Broad based knowledge of technical issues within the spectrum of
consultancy being dealt with (i.e. technical acumen in Risk & Compliance )
• Previous consultancy/advisory experience
• Proven experience of relationship building with target clients/potential
customers and client management skills
• Experience in sales, marketing and/or business development
• Proven experience of conducting in depth business diagnostics
• Proven experience of project management leading to full
implementation/delivery
• A strategic approach with excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Proven experience in roles requiring strong relationship building across all
levels of a business
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentations to
clients
• Sales ability to enable securing initial business and the selling on of further
products and services
• Ability to work accurately to a very high standard under pressure and
deliver to deadlines
• Ability to work independently. Self starter able to utilise own initiative
effectively
Desirable
• Experience of working in/advising a law firm or other legal services
practice
