Based at the offices of West Suffolk councils

Four innovative district level councils in Suffolk have come together to create a single legal service, working across the centre and west of the County. 

Due to this, we have several varied exciting and challenging roles on offer in order to combine our resources so that we can work effectively as a single team, these include:

Lawyers - Property (permanent role) and Planning (permanent and temporary (18 months) openings available)

£35,093 - £40,619 per annum

37 hours per week

You will be supporting the Service Manager and the Business Partners whilst providing advice to officers and members on statute, case law and policy, in one of the key areas.

The successful candidates for the Business Partner and Lawyer roles will be a qualified solicitor, fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives or barrister with experience of working in a busy legal office.  We need people who have the ability to identify and exploit creative solutions and to inspire others, and lead and motivate staff.
