Banking & Finance Associate (4-6 Yrs. PQE)

My client, a globally-recognised firm, work seamlessly around the world to deliver first class, efficient, and integrated legal services. They advise clients on matters relating to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and deliver first class, efficient, and integrated legal services the large, regional and cross-border client base. In the banking team, a lot of the work they do is transactional and based around Islamic Finance. This cooperation office in Riyadh includes a team of veteran Saudi and internationally qualified lawyers who advise on a wide range of practice areas, including debt and equity capital markets, local and cross-border M&A, corporate, projects, banking and lender/ borrower work.

This Banking & Finance Associate role will encapsulate Conventional as well as Sharia-related Finance matters and there will be elements of Projects/ Project Finance cases

Key candidate requirements:
* Having gained strong exposure to the Saudi market as workload will be Sharia-related.
* MUST be bilingual able to draft comfortably in Arabic and English.
* Feel comfortable and can demonstrate business development activity/ building a practice.

We are looking to speak with Banking & Finance Associates who have a background in Sharia Law and speak Arabic and English fluently, having acquired experience in the Middle Eastern region. It is not a requirement that candidates are Saudi qualified - my client will consider Western-qualified candidates happily, if they can justify the above points in their experience. Moreover, this will be coupled with excellent academics.

Banking & Finance Associate who are already residing in Riyadh who have proven 'solid' working experience in the region will be preferred however this is not a prerequisite, given our client's global presence.

We are looking for those Banking & Finance Associates who can demonstrate on their CV a broad array of Banking & Finance experience - For example; Islamic Finance, Compliance, Regulatory, Project Finance, Capital Markets, Asset Finance and Structuring, Investment products, Acquisition Finance, Trade, and Consumer & Treasury products.
