Bucks and Surrey Trading Standards have joined to form one of the country’s largest and most innovative Trading Standards service. We are based in two locations, Aylesbury and Redhill and our aims are to protect individuals, communities and businesses from harm and financial loss, help businesses to thrive by maintaining a Fair Trading environment and to improve the health and wellbeing of people and communities across Buckinghamshire and Surrey.
You will be based within a dedicated team of highly motivated legal specialists and will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a role that will give you challenge, variety and will allow you to deliver work to the highest standard.
To be shortlisted to interview your application will clearly evidence:
• Experience of advocacy in both criminal and civil matters
• Experience of and a good understanding of the legislative framework that Regulators must adhere to.
• Experience of managing a large case load.
• Experience and ability to communicate with Court personnel and Chamber colleagues.
• A flexible and adaptive approach to work
• Hold, or be working towards, a trading standards or legal qualification
