Salary: £33,724 to £37,000 p.a

37 hours per week

Swindon Borough Council is looking for a Solicitor/Barrister or an experienced Legal Executive to become a vital part of a team specialising in Child Care law. 
You will provide legal advice and act as advocate for the Borough Council in respect of matters and proceedings relating to child protection functions.

You will be primarily concerned with advising and representing the Swindon Children Services Department on Children Act matters.  Responsibilities will include representing the Council at Court; attending Pre Proceedings meetings and establishing good relationships with other Departments and outside agencies.

Qualified as a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive, your professionalism and exceptional communication skills will cement your position with our team. 
You should have experience of Children Act legal work, possess advocacy skills, have the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice and be able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
