Now hiring: Legal Officer
The Media Legal Defence Initiative (MLDI), a unique international charity that helps defend the rights of journalists, independent media and bloggers, is looking for a qualified lawyer with a good understanding of the international law of freedom of expression to fill the position of Legal Officer for one year. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in a growing organisation.
As the Legal Officer, you will be providing litigation and case support for MLDI’s legal casework, including strategic legal defence cases, working closely with the Legal Director, the Senior Legal Officer and other members of the MLDI team. You will also work closely with MLDI partners and lawyers contracted by MLDI for individual cases.
We are looking for someone who is a natural self-starter, with a flexible, proactive approach and first class interpersonal skills.
