From fraud and firearms to public order and corporate manslaughter, the CPS works on a diverse range of cases. It takes a special kind of person to excel, and that’s why we’re looking for exceptional lawyers and advocates to help us in delivering justice.

As a Senior Crown Advocate you will provide advice and present cases in our most serious of cases in the Crown Court and Court of Appeal, handling a diverse range of casework. You will be conducting high quality advocacy in high profile jury trials including opening, closing, witness handling and legal arguments often in complex multi-handed cases. Where there are appeals in your cases, you will deal with them too.

As part of the Prosecution Team you will work alongside dedicated lawyers and paralegals and will mentor and aid the development of your more junior colleagues. You will deliver the best possible service to victims and witnesses and will act as a lead Advocate on cases that can last anything from one day to 6 weeks plus.

In return we can offer you a good salary, flexible working hours, a generous leave allowance, excellent training and final salary pension. Above all, we can provide you with the opportunity to work in a supportive and challenging environment with a constant stream of high quality criminal work.
