Solicitor and Deputy Monitoring Officer (£40,619)

The Council is seeking to appoint a solicitor to join its well regarded and friendly in-house Legal Team of 14 staff. The team provides advice on a comprehensive range of legal services and is also responsible for the committee and procurement services to the Council. The more senior post will deputise for the Legal Services , with supervisory responsibilities for some of the other members of the team. 

The Council is undertaking major regeneration and housing development programmes and as such commercial property work, including some planning and contract law, are likely to be a significant part of the caseload.
