Contentious Probate Solicitor

Are you a Probate Litigation Solicitor (NQ-3yrs PQE) looking to join a leading regional firm in South Manchester/Cheshire.

As a result of the increase in work the Dispute Resolution Department is seeking to recruit a probate litigation solicitor of around 0-3 years’ PQE.  The Dispute Resolution team consists of a team of 11, which includes a partner, solicitor and trainee dealing exclusively with probate litigation matters.

Reporting to the supervising Partner, the successful Contentious Probate Solicitor should be experienced in litigation with a focus on will disputes, estate disputes, trust disputes, and Court of Protection disputes.

The dispute resolution team is long-recognised by the Legal 500 granting them “Top Tier” status and the firm is also a member of the MSI Global Alliance of Independent law firms and the UK200 Group. The Dispute Resolution team is also recognised for its probate litigation work by the Legal 500 and the team are members of the Northern Contentious Probate Group and are members of ACTAPS.

You must be a qualified Solicitor (NQ-3yrs PQE) and have experience in handling Probate Litigation / Contentious Probate matters (IPFDA claims, will validity challenges, claims for proprietary estoppel and removal of executors) and will need to demonstrate an ability to develop high levels of technical skill and strong client relationships. You will have strong academics and likely be working within an established and well regarded firm.
