Employment Law Advisor / Paralegal

My Client is looking for an Employment Legal Advisor /Paralegal to provide professional guidance to their clients across a range of industries (care sector/manufacturing/hospitality etc.) to ensure a consistent and timely approach to all HR/Employment law matters as well as operating consistently within Company policies and legislative requirements.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide our clients with timely comprehensive advice on all employee relation matters, verbally and in writing.
• Effective case management of people related issues such as: disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management, redundancy, recruitment, long term sickness.
• Generation of HR letters and advice on procedures to our clients based on their queries.
• Support on formal disciplinary/grievance hearings, draft letters, take minutes and undertake hearings where appropriate.
• Attend our client’s premises to provide on-site support, building a relationship with our clients and providing appropriate advice to their individual needs as a Company.
• Developing effective relationships with our clients to promote good employee relations across the organisation.
• Plan and deliver training when required.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of 3 years previous experience working in a HR/Employment Law related role.
• Have extensive knowledge and the ability to apply Employment Law
• Able to research legal queries to provide advice in a format our clients understand.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, able to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
• Competent IT skills.

Candidates with a Legal Practice Course or equivalent are preferred but not essential

The successful candidate must have a full and clean driving licence and their own vehicle.

Salary is negotiable on experience and qualifications.
