Bindmans are recruiting for the following positions:

Senior Solicitor to take a leading role on social welfare issues
(ref: CLSWSol-04/17)

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic solicitor with a fair for litigation and an ability to lead, manage and support others within the Civil Liberties team.

Experience and passion in two or more of the following areas of law is essential: Inquests and linked Art 2 ECHR claims arising in the mental health context, mental health, Court of Protection work, community care, housing, education and judicial review work. Relevant Legal Aid Agency supervisor status and accreditation are highly desirable.

The successful candidate will have experience in working with individual and organisational clients, have an established referral network and handle work funded under the Legal Aid scheme and privately. On joining, they will significantly strengthen Bindmans work on social welfare issues and enforcement of vulnerable persons’ rights and, with partner support, to take a leading role within an existing team. Subject to strong performance in the role, there will be an opportunity for early promotion.
