We currently have a vacancy within our Employability team which plays a key part in our commitment to and delivery of pro bono at our Birmingham centre.

Pro Bono Coordinator (maternity cover)

  • Fixed term contract, up to 11 months
  • Up to £36,000 pro rata p.a. plus benefits
  • Part Time 28 hours per week, Birmingham-based

In this varied and busy role, you will take responsibility for coordinating, reviewing and reporting on the Pro bono activities at the Birmingham Centre and to promote pro bono activity amongst the public, the profession and staff and students at the Centre.

You will monitor each Pro Bono scheme throughout its course by keeping in close contact with partner organisations and reviewing student and staff comments and ensure that any necessary adjustments / amendments to maintain quality are made as and when necessary. 

For this role you will need to be a qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 3 years post qualification experience and a practicing certificate.  You will ideally have experience of, or a genuine interest in pro bono delivery or clinical education and have experience of managing trainees.
