Based at OCC, Wymondham

Norfolk Constabulary Legal Services Department is looking to recruit a barrister, solicitor or experienced FILEX to assist with commercial and employment law matters and civil claims.

You will also assist the other lawyers in the department as requested, which gives the opportunity to develop skills in other areas including disclosure and operational policing law.

We are seeking:

* a qualified solicitor or barrister with a current practising certificate or a FILEX with at least two years post qualification experience

* knowledge of and recent experience in, as a minimum, either employment or commercial law and a willingness and aptitude to be able to develop skills in the other

* knowledge of, and recent experience in, the handling of fast track civil claims, particularly personal injury RTCs and public and employer's liability claims via the MOJ portal.

Whilst the experience listed above is required, this post offers an excellent opportunity to develop new skills and, as such, the key requirement for the post is the ability to learn quickly, to be flexible and adaptable.

Training can be provided to develop the necessary skills and the salary will be based on experience as a result. The ability to travel is essential.
