An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor to work with the Head of Legal Services to support the expanding business of the University. The Legal Team are responsible for a wide range of agreements relating to projects with International, UK and EU partners both from industry, commerce and the higher education sector.

You will be a solicitor with relevant experience (experience of the HE sector or in a similar or related role would be an advantage). You will need to have a strong grasp of contractual legal issues and the legal issues affecting universities which you can utilise to provide high quality and timely legal advice and support. You will be able to work with minimal supervision in a supportive environment, building strong working relations with academic schools and central service departments. Strong communication and inter-personal skills are therefore essential.

Successful candidates must hold a professional legal qualification as a Solicitor or Barrister and have between 2–5 years relevant post-qualification experience at either a law firm or in-house environment.
