Commercial Professional Support Lawyer

A pre-eminent, top tier full service national law firm wishes to appoint an experienced Professional Support Lawyer to sit within the firms' specialist Commercial Team and be based at the firms' modern offices in Birmingham city centre.

The firm is quite rightly particularly proud of its envied culture which actively promotes a transparent and collaborative ethos throughout the entire organisation. The firm is very much a meritocracy and does not operate a traditional pyramid structure, preferring to maintain the flat hierarchical system that has brought it unparalleled success so far where any attitudes of self-importance are most certainly frowned upon, which is no doubt why the firm is the recipient of a number of awards including being ranked as one of the best law firms to work for.

The firms' Commercial Division is renowned as a market leader and continues to expand via a combination of strategic hires alongside new client wins. The team comprises over 70 lawyers nationally who provide strategic advice across a number of sub-sectors to include intellectual property, financial services, commercial contracts and projects and infrastructure. The client base is very strong and includes Plc's, FTSE 100 and 250 companies and also a broad mix of household name corporations.

The team is looking to bring on board an experienced commercial solicitor with a minimum of 7 years' PQE to undertake a somewhat unique PSL role. In addition to providing support on live matters, keeping the team up to date with changes in the law and having ownership of the precedent bank, you will also be tasked with handling the Commercial Divisions external communications and participating in business development activities. You will also be a key contact point for any of the teams' successes that need to be communicated to the public.

This is an outstanding opportunity for those who are already undertaking a PSL role or for any in-house lawyers who are looking to return to private practice and take the lead on complex projects. Equally, very experienced commercial solicitors who are keen to take a step up and away from a fee earning role in order to become an integral part of the firms' growth plans are very much encouraged to apply.

In addition to a very competitive salary and an extensive benefits package, what sets this role apart from those at other firms is the unique culture which is embedded across the firm which will allow you to work in an environment that is truly collaborative and is a world away from both a politicised and a polarised corporate environment.

In recent times it has also been translated as "Quite Easily Done".
