Civil Litigation Solicitor

An opportunity has arisen for a Civil Litigation Solicitor to join the Leicester office of a Legal 100 firm, which has a nationally recognised Public Sector team, on a 12 month fixed term contract.
 
My client, who works on behalf of police forces nationally, defends claims such as false imprisonment, malicious prosecution and assault. As a Civil Litigation Solicitor, you will manage a caseload of litigated claims of actions brought against the police. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, preparing witness statements and witnesses for trial, attending conferences, presenting cases in the magistrates court, and drafting, as well as having billing responsibilities. 
 
You will have between 0-2 years' PQE as a Civil Litigation Solicitor (although those outside this bracket will also be considered) and have experience defending litigated claims, preferably those brought against the police. You will have strong advocacy skills, be a team player and have the confidence/gravitas to influence key decision makers.
 
Although this role is offered initially on a 12 month basis, there is potential for it to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
