A fantastic new role has arisen in central Newcastle for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join an award winning practice. The Role:

The firm works on behalf of a range of different clients including large companies, owner managed businesses, healthcare professionals, leisure operators and rural businesses. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to the firm's enviable client base.

You will be expected to handle cases independently as well as assist a Partner with a wide range of cases. This will include anything from straightforward contractual disputes dealt within the small claims court to high value multitrack and technically compiled matters. Key aspects of this role include commercial litigation and property litigation.

You will be working alongside colleagues in the Company Commercial, Employment and Commercial Property teams to minimise litigation for existing clients, work to resolve contractual disputes pre proceedings and also deal with contested matters to trial.

The Candidate:

The firm is ideally looking to recruit a Solicitor into the department with a minimum of 1 years PQE. They are happy to be extremely flexible with this requirement, so whether you are early on in your career, or have a wealth of experience behind you, if you think you should be considered then please don't hesitate to apply.

In order to be considered, you will have a working knowledge of the civil procedure rules and litigation process, a foundation in Company Law, Contract Law, Property Law and Law of Tort is required

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise, cope under pressure and work to strict deadlines. Excellent communication skills are essential as are managing expectations across a wide range of competing needs.
