Salary £36,623 to £43,075 (dependent upon experience)

Located in Northampton or Shefford (Bedfordshire)

LGSS Law Ltd is an innovative social enterprise law firm providing legal services to the public and not for profit sector. We have grown significantly in recent years and in addition to our head office in Huntingdon, we have branch offices, in Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire (Shefford) and Cambridge. We pride ourselves on giving high quality, comprehensive and affordable advice to our many clients, who include local authorities, health bodies, charities, schools and housing associations across the region.

We are seeking to recruit a Lawyer to join our Contracts and Procurement Team who has some experience and knowledge of procurement and contracts legal work and wishes to develop further in this area. You will  be closely supported by one of our present Lawyers.

The Contracts & Procurement Team covers a wide remit from public procurement, contracts and litigation. The team is responsible for advising clients on procurements and outsourcing and supporting clients in establishing Companies and Trusts to undertake services on behalf of Local Authorities. The team also undertakes work involving the establishment of Academy Schools and the formation of construction contracts. As a member of the Contracts and Procurement team you will be working with both internal and external clients, notably other local authorities and public sector bodies including the Clinical Commissioning Groups and Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Authority.

We are seeking an applicant with demonstrable people skills with experience of working in a team to develop technical abilities across procurement and commercial/contract law, working effectively with the challenging and rewarding diversity of work that it brings.

In return we offer an exceptional opportunity to develop your career at the forefront of innovation in legal services delivery. We provide a flexible, modern working environment equipped with the technology needed to enable you to balance the pressures of a busy role. If the chance to play a part in this fast-paced but increasingly interesting area of law grabs you, we want to hear from you.
