Locum Planning Solicitor

Venn Group's specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Locum Planning Solicitor to join a Local Authority based in Bedfordshire.

The contract is an initial period of 3 months with the possibility of an extension dependant on workload.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive that holds a current practising certificate. It would be of benefit for you to have experience of working within a local authority however this is not essential.

Duties will include:

• Assisting the council on various contentious and non contentious planning applications
• Managing own caseload to include S106's and planning enforcements
• Advising at Planning Committee
• Occasionally dealing with Judicial Review matters
• Advising on Planning Appeal Inquiries

In return, our client is offering a rate £30-£40 per hour dependant on the candidate's level of experience.
