Job Details
Litigation and Planning Solicitor required to join a local authority based in Essex. This is a locum position which will initially run for 3 months, although the role is expected to become ongoing.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-organised local authority, and would be a great way to expand your knowledge across different areas of public law. This role would be really well suited to a solicitor who enjoys a variety, and will primarily be a litigation role, involving a small amount of planning work. The successful candidate will be dealing with a large caseload, including but not limited to;
- Planning enforcements
- Licencing matters
- Injunctions
- General prosecutions
You are not expected to have experience in all of these areas, and so this is a great opportunity to build your experience in new areas if you come from either a litigation or planning background. Previous experience of working within a local authority would be highly desirable for this position, although not essential.
This local authority is well located, situated within easy reach from the nearest station.
