Locum Employment Solicitor

We are interested in receiving applications for an experienced Employment Solicitor Locum to join a busy local authority in the East Midlands.

This is an on-going position with a minimum term of 3 months. Our client is in a position to offer both a full time role and a part time role therefore flexible working arrangements are open for negotiation.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive who holds a current practising certificate. Due to the nature of the role, experience with a background of working within the public sector is preferred.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Managing a busy caseload of both contentious and non-contentious matters
• Advising on a range of grievance and disciplinary procedures including constructive & unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, redundancy, WTR and discrimination
• Advocating at employment tribunal including multiday hearings

This is an excellent opportunity that offers £30-35/hour but this will be dependant on experience.
