Job Details
Job Title: In-house Legal Counsel
Contract Type: 12 Month FTC
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
Location: Greater Manchester
My client a leading group in the property & housing sector, are looking to recruit an In-house Counsel to look after a wide range of legal affairs that affect the group. Managing a small team of legal professionals, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading and directing the development of a strategic vision for the delivery of a fully comprehensive, effective legal service to the Group.
- Prosecuting and defending all litigation on behalf of the Group
- Supervision of all legal personnel and to ensure proper individual supervision, appraisal, and review
- Managing all budgets assigned to this function.
- Ensuring professional compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority, Law Society & Institute of Legal Executives and fulfil the regulatory requirements in respect of professional training body status.
- Assisting, supporting and collaborating with all other legal service providers however procured, in the provision of advice, support and strategic & operational business direction to the Group.
- Assisting the Company Secretary in achieving governance, regulatory, statutory and legislative compliance.
The ideal candidate will be:
- 5 year + post-qualification solicitor
- Previous property/housing experience.
- Experienced litigator
