Legal Contracts Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Contracts Manager to join the NHS in Yorkshire for a 6-12 month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will have a legal background within commercial contracts and previous management experience

Day to day duties will include:

• Providing a professional lead for contracting to the NHS
• Managing contracts and relationships with Trust Commissioners
• Taking day to day responsibility for the management of the Trust's contract portfolio
• Leading on the contract development and negotiation process for the Trust
• Advising on mitigating and managing risk within contracts entered by the Trust
• Managing of staff within the contracting department
• Drafting legal terms and conditions
• Improving standard agreements to minimise risk and enhance clarity
• Providing contractual advice, representing the NHS and dealing with conflict

The ideal candidate does not need to be a Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive however will need a legal background and extensive experience within commercial contracts. Managerial experience will be advantageous but is not essential.
