Senior Legal Assistant

A vacancy exists for a Senior Legal Assistant based at the Union’s Manchester Office.

The salary is £31,557 pa rising to £39,435 pa after three years’ service.

The principal duties are: delivering an advice and representation service in industrial and employment law matters; advising and supporting Union members and officials; individual employment casework and tribunal representation.

The successful applicant will possess:  qualified employment solicitor status is desirable but not essential or equivalent practical experience of employment law and employment tribunals; excellent written and verbal communication skills; planning and organisation skills; negotiating and presentation skills; IT skills; research skills; and database use and maintenance.
