Court of Protection Lawyer - This is a perfect opportunity for an ambitious COP lawyer; either legal executive or paralegal with 5 + years relevant experience, looking to take the next pivotal step in their career.

Our clients, a highly regarded full service firm are now looking to recruit a senior paralegal or legal executive with at least 5 years’ experience to join their probate team at their North Kent offices. You will assist and act for individuals who need sound legal advice and guidance during a difficult time in the life, this could be due to learning disabilities, mental health problems, old age or clients who have suffered severe brain injuries and are incapable of making financial decisions.

Reporting to the head of the division you will be responsible for assisting the fee earners on a range of matters, including:
-              Management of deputyship files and financial aspect
-              Dealing with client and third party queries
-              Preparation of tax returns
-              Cash flow management
-              Annual deputyship accounts & reports
-              Manging welfare benefits
-              Drafting and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney
