The Role

Due to the Bank’s continued success we are looking to expand our in-house legal team. The role is to provide day to day legal support and advice to the Bank in its secured lending transactions. 

Principal Accountabilities

• Providing accurate legal advice to the Bank on secured lending transactions; 
• Investigating title and carrying out full due diligence on security properties;
• Preparing security documentation to safeguard the Bank’s interests as a secured lender;
• Liaising with Borrower’s solicitors and the Bank’s external advisers and business partners to complete lending transactions in a timely and effective manner;
• Dealing with post-completion registrations and formalities relating to lending transactions;
• Providing advice and assistance to other departments of the Bank on new and completed lending transactions.

Skills & Experience Required

• A qualified solicitor (1-5 years PQE) with a sound knowledge of commercial property transactions and secured lending principles;
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a diverse team;
• Excellent attention to detail and strong initiative;
• Commercial outlook with a ‘can do’ attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn;
• Commitment to continuing professional development and the development of junior team members.
