This is an exciting Legal Counsel role for an international leader in food safety and security, facility hygiene and product protection.

Role Overview:

In this function, you will be a corporate generalist with broad experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and providing counsel to business at all levels of the organisation. Your role will involve offering sound legal advice in time-sensitive situations.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

• Reviewing, negotiating, drafting and advising on various types of commercial contracts, including, but not limited to:
  • Standard terms and conditions of supply and purchase;
  • Supply of services and professional advisory contracts;
  • Supply and manufacturing agreements;
  • Agency and distributorship agreements;
  • Co-operation and collaboration agreements, strategic partnerships, Joint Development Agreements;
  • IT and network contracts, and data protection;
  • lease hire and maintenance agreements;
  • licence agreements
• Assisting and providing transaction support on M&A, Joint Ventures and restructuring projects

The Individual:

We are looking for a strong communicator with excellent relationship building skills to join our team – someone who is personable, commercially focused and knowledgeable.

You will be qualified to practice as a solicitor or barrister in the UK, with a minimum of five years PQE. Successful applicants will also:

• Have some exposure to dealing with non-UK customers (desirable)
• Be able to understand Board Reports
• Have practicing knowledge of Data Protection regulations (desirable)
• Have a good grasp of Data Protection Privacy

You will be able to demonstrate superior collaboration and relationship building skills and will be able to thrive with minimum supervision. This position also requires occasional travel to Europe.
