Brief

They are currently looking to recruit a Birmingham based Lawyer with 0-3yr PQE to join the Banking team. There will be opportunities to work on both asset based lending and banking transactions, regionally and nationally.

Background

They advise a broad range of funders and borrowers on a wide variety of financing transactions. They act for all the UK clearing banks, a number of other European and investment banks, independent financiers and investment funds on all types of facilities from acquisition finance, leveraged finance and real estate finance to asset based lending, securitisation and debt capital markets. They also act for many borrowers, from listed companies to small enterprises, on their financings. The practice is broad and very varied.

They have a high quality legal service banking team with access to a deep knowledge of current market practice. They deliver a truly partner led service and strongly believe in being fully joined up across their network of offices. The talented team of lawyers has an insight and appreciation of the needs and pressures of clients in the financial services sector. They are renowned for the quality and speed of delivery of our advice, innovative thinking and grasp of commercial issues.

The Candidate Required

The ideal candidate must have some banking experience. An understanding of asset based lending and/or invoice financing and/or LMA documentation is helpful but not essential.

The successful candidate will ideally have gained experience in either a leading national or City firm. Candidates must be technically excellent but equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. They will be a team player with a strong client focussed approach and excellent communication and organisational skills. A willingness to work across a variety of the banking specialism is a must. In return the candidate will received unrivalled exposure to a range of exciting and challenging finance work.
