Our widely respected team is one of the largest dedicated construction teams in the UK, with a strong profile in construction procurement and noted for our focus on the transport, infrastructure, energy and development sectors.
Work
We specialise in all aspects of built infrastructure, with particular skills in the strategic projects and complex dispute resolution sectors. With a genuine UK wide presence, clients include public authorities, utilities, developers and end-users of building and engineering services, consultants and contractors. During the past year, we have seen projects through to contract and are involved in complex claims. The range of work continues to grow and includes:
- Energy (including nuclear, all forms of renewables and energy storage)
- Infrastructure
- Transport (including rail, road, airports and ports)
- Regeneration and commercial development projects
- Dispute avoidance and resolution
We act for an impressive roster of purchaser and supplier clients on high-value non-contentious construction and disputes matters nationwide. Key clients include Babcock, Costain, The Crown Estate, Highways England, London Underground, The National Trust and Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
Requirements
If you would like to join us, you will need excellent academics, together with evidence of good quality training and, construction or wider commercial experience gained from a top firm. Adaptability and enthusiasm are critical. Although not essential, we value an ability to handle both contentious and non-contentious work.
Due to the level of this role, you will be expected to take on more substantial matters and run with them, as you will have increased responsibility. Supervisory experience would also be advantageous, as we have a number of Trainee Solicitors in the team.
We are also interested in candidates who are Scottish qualified and have energy sector experience. The firm will support and fund successful candidates to become dual qualified (if not already English law qualified), including study leave and exam hotel expenses.
