Job Details

My client has a national presence and advises both private clients and public sector institutions.

They have an excellent reputation and are now looking for a litigation executive to join their defendant EL/PL personal injury team in Exeter.

This role will involve advising on defendant EL/PL claims on behalf of local authorities, schools/academies/universities, commercial clients and their insurers, private care providers, and the NHS.

You will already be an accomplished personal injury litigation executive with relevant EL/PL experience. You may be a paralegal, or perhaps part qualified legal executive looking to progress your experience with personal injury.

In this personal injury litigation executive role, you will handle your own case load of small claims, fast track claims, and some low value multi track claims. You will assist more senior lawyers with their cases, assessing liability and quantum issues. Where appropriate, you will attend court on interlocutory applications, small claims hearings and trials. You will prepare all correspondence, take witness statements, prepare court documentation including defence, questionnaires, disclosure, papers for assessment of costs and trial bundles.

Those with at least 1 year’s EL/PL experience are encouraged to apply, as are those with more experience.

The successful personal injury litigation executive will be offered a salary up to £26,000, plus fantastic benefits including pension, medical insurance, and 25 days holiday.

Litigation Executives with at least 1 year’s defendant EL/PL experience are encouraged to apply, as are those with only claimant experience looking to cross over into defendant work.
