Senior Lawyer (Planning, Highways, and Regeneration)

You will be the Planning Lawyer in the authority’s Legal Services Team.  You will advise on strategic and operational planning matters. You will represent the authority at Inquiries and will be responsible for the supervision of planning enforcement cases.

You will also work across the service to provide advice and support in other areas of non contentious legal matters and litigation.

Legal Services works within a flexible working environment and you will need to show a firm commitment to continue to develop this working ethos.   Legal Service is a Lexcel accredited department.

Authoritative and persuasive, you will be an experienced legal professional  with a proven track record of professional achievement.  You will have an excellent knowledge of planning law and a sound working knowledge of highways law.  You will be an excellent communicator with good influencing skills as you will be conducting and providing advice on complex legal proceedings.
