A qualified solicitor is required to join the Council’s Law and Governance Team in order to provide advice and support to the Council in relation to planning, highways and road traffic matters. The post-holder will be an effective communicator, able to provide concise advice and draft a range of agreements and orders. Experience of undertaking planning and highways legal work is required.

You will be required to provide responsive and high quality legal advice and support to the Council (and external clients when applicable) in relation to planning, highways and road traffic cases. That will include carrying out research, providing advice, drafting documents, instructing counsel and representing the Council at hearings and inquiries.
